Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-07
1. Who we are. echoesofaincrad.co (“the Site”) is an independent, unofficial fan-made informational website about the video game Echoes of Aincrad. Contact: [email protected].
2. What we collect. The Site is designed to collect as little data as possible.
- No accounts. You cannot register, log in, comment, or upload anything. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any direct identifiers.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data (IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps) to deliver and secure the Site. These logs are retained per the provider’s own policy.
- Analytics. [VERSION A — current launch configuration]: We do not use cookie-based analytics. If we use any traffic measurement, it is privacy-preserving and does not set tracking cookies.
- No advertising trackers. At launch, the Site shows no third-party ads and sets no advertising cookies.
- No sale of data. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with anyone.
3. Cookies. The Site itself sets no tracking cookies. Embedded YouTube videos (official trailers) may set cookies from Google/YouTube when you play them; these are governed by Google’s privacy policy. Where possible we use privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie) embeds.
4. Third-party services we rely on.
| Service | Purpose | Data involved | Their policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare (hosting/CDN) | Serve and secure the Site | Standard server log data (IP, requests) | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
| YouTube embeds (Google) | Show official game trailers | Cookies only when you interact with the player | policies.google.com/privacy |
Outbound links (e.g., to Steam or bandainamcoent.com) take you to third-party sites with their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for them.
5. Children. The Site is a general-audience informational site and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
6. Your rights. Because we do not hold accounts or personal profiles, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold data about you, contact [email protected].
7. Changes. If we add analytics, advertising, or any account features, we will update this policy and the “Last updated” date before those features go live.
